Postcards, Cicada Coffee

Cicada is a Cambridge based Vietnamese coffee shop named “the best coffee shop in Boston” by the New York Times. Inspired by the shop’s eclectic handmade furniture and motto “live slowly to understand deeply,” this risograph printed postcard design abstracts the Vietnamese flag while referencing specific decor from the shop’s distinctive interior.

Posters, Institute of Contemporary Art Boston

Posters for ICA Boston’s show of emerging young designers. Exhibited at the ICA summer 2023.

Event Branding, The Community Fund

The Community Fund provides over $1 million annually for critical services in the New York Eastchester and Westchester area. I created posters, social media assets, and merchandise for the organization’s annual sporting event, its largest fundraising initiative of the year.

Poster Design, Tufts Department of Art and Architecture

Poster design for Tufts Art and Architecture department building examining the simultaneous and related development of Futurist type and Futurist architecture. The poster’s “A” is composed of Italian-futurist style buildings made with the crossbar of the “F” from P22’s revival of Fortunato Depero’s handmade letters in his book, Depero Futurista (“The Bolted Book”).

Work in Progress, Derniers Instants

Derniers Instants (“Last Moments”) is an artists' books press based in Boston, MA cofounded by Clara Davis, Diana Gateño and Isabel Overby. Rooted in graphic design, photography, and performance, their books catalog spaces, places, and relationships across various physical and digital communities. Inspired by the idea of observing a moment in time, the wordmark is based on the optical phenomenon of the Green Ray— the brief flash of green light that sometimes appears just as the sun rises or sets.
